Task Description
We need the overall look and feel for a new cloud-based Health 2.0 web site where health professionals can manage and interact with their patients/clients.

The plan is to generate a landing page that can grab the attention of health professionals (doctors, nurses, personal trainers, etc...). This page should have an attractive "Sign Up for Free" or similar button/message, as well as a login section for users already registered. We currently have a view on having a number of messages displayed, either as a slider or as separate areas on the page (decision is up for grabs).

Secondly, we need a standard "framework" for all the other pages which will be accessible once the user has authenticated with a clean, airy and spacious feel. This will provide styling for standard elements (input boxes, checkboxes, etc...) as well as a given layout, possibly 3 columns (fixed-fluid-fixed) although we leave this to the designer's choice.

We want to stress the importance of the Cloud, as well as make users feel like "this is the place to be if you're a modern, tech savvy health professional". Also of high importance is to show that this is a secure place, where data is accessible from anywhere yet also highly protected.

This project is going to provide long-term work for the winner and possibly those we consider close runner ups, so if you guys are interested in grabbing our attention so you can become our designer of choice, this is your chance!

Standard pages we are looking to receive after the selection process:

* Landing page
* Health Professional Profile Page (personal details, professional details, photo...)
* Patient list / Patient Management page
* Patient profile (details, health details...)
* Generic "item" management page (item refers to documents, images, contacts, etc...)

The logo for the site/product is also up for grabs, and a bonus payment can be given if you provide one that both matches the style of the site whilst being one that could be reused for mobile app icons, etc...

  • The site name is "saluscope" (all lower-case) for those of you wanting to work on the logo part. As I said before, the logo should contain a component that could be use as the recognisable icon in a mobile phone app. Something that can be easily identified in both the site and the app that connects them together.

saluscope is made up of two parts (salu + scope), and you might want to consider differentiating them by the use of colour, fonts or however you think appropriate.

  • New sample screen-shots of the existing functionality have been uploaded to help you mock up some screens.

PLEASE NOTE: This are to be used for content/widget design only! The layout of how these are represented, e.g. accordion, slider, tree, list... is entirely up to you! Don't guide your layout based on these screen-shots, unless you think they are the way to go, of course.

We want your creative input, so please innovate! :)

Target Market(s)
Health Professionals
Look and Feel
Each slider illustrates characteristics of the customer's brand and the style your design should communicate.

Must Have:
- * A landing page that grabs the users attention but is "different" from the rest of pages (although within the same design/style parameters)

* A generic page framework for the rest of the pages (style guide)

Nice to Have:
- A modern and clean logo to go with the site. If the logo is selected, this can result in a bonus payment to be decided.

Could you please provide me a link of existing site if having or the Inspirational sites links or your competitors site link.

Thanks iPlayers for accepting the invitation! We have an initial design, but we are not convinced it is the way to go. We want something fresh, light and airy, with lots of room, so nothing too compact.

The initial idea went this way, but we''re not completely happy: http://alpha.saluscope.com

The initial functional site just uses a non-descript skin, but will give you an idea about some of the contents:

In general, we want "new generation" designs, like the new Twitter, www.websmultimedia.com, www.rummblelabs.com or anything that looks clean and modern but with a prefessional touch, as that''s the target audience :)

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the great brief and opportunity!

You've talked about designing the logo, does this still involve the word "Sagitta? Or were you thinking of something different?

Many thanks,

Hi, Thanks for the invite and I am super ready to work on it. just couple of questions. First one is that is this a medical software based website or what? 2nd point is: you mentioned the message style in your brief. I would like to know what sort of message is this, either its internal messaging between members like forum or blog or testimonial or something else please help me to get this. Also What else will be there on the landing page instead of sign up and log in. It will be easy for me to give you exactly what you require in a design rather than to place useless things to complete the page.

Thanks and Kind Regards

Hi there, thanks for answering the invitation :)

OK, the site is a cloud-based place for health professionals to manage the interactions with their patients, but also to talk amongst themselves. Think of it as a bit of a social network for professionals.

The landing page should have the customary slides (look at alpha.saluscope.com, that's our first attempt at a landing page), but we are looking for something more unconventional, less like a web template, more like a cutting edge cloud service. Something cool looking, attractive and friendly. Difficult to say what that would look like, but that's why you're a designer and I'm not :)

Hi there,

Do you require the code as well or is this design only?

By Yawie on Thursday, January 19, 2012 | Reply

As the result of the contest is a number of pages (not just the landing one), this is a desing only exercise.

However, after the winner is selected there might be the opportunity for the winner to continue working with us in further design work as well as cutting into code if the designer has the skills.
